“I love Gurnee Grade School. The environment is very supportive. There is definitely a family atmosphere at Gurnee Grade. The teachers are very involved with the students from Kindergarten through eighth grade. I went to a parochial school as a child, and GGS has the same feel as that private school. It's a great place.”

“WE LOVE OUR SCHOOL!! We moved into the area specifically to attend Gurnee Grade School and have not been disappointed. This is a small, 'family friendly' school that I often describe as the 'Walut Grove' feeling from Little House on the Prairie. We love all the teachers and have had nothing but good experiences. We've been enrolled for 4 years and will be sad when one of our children graduates next year and has to leave! The teachers are kind and sincerely care about each student. A+ all around!”

“The staff here has to put up with a lot from flooding to the building falling apart around them. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter yet they keep coming and coming. No one complains, everyone smiles. Thank you GGS staff, for teaching our children and creating such a good work environment .”

“Gurnee Grade is like a school from the past. The feel when you walk in is that of a family. My daughter can go visit her first grade teacher during her lunch even though she is now in 7th grade. It is a caring community that provides the academic challenges a student needs to function in our modern society. The teachers are all exceptional in their craft yet supportive and nurturing to the students. We love Gurnee Grade School.”

“The staff is outstanding in their dedication to the high quality of education they provide for their students. This school is literally crumbling around them and yet not one staff member allows that to impact the education of the students. You walk in that school and the positive energy is overwhelming. Every teacher knows every student. GGS alumni are welcomed back with open arms to visit. GGS is more than a school it is a second family. I consider myself very fortunate to have my children attend school at GGS.”

“This is a great school. Since the opening of the school(which was not long ago), it has been getting better and better. The principal is very active in trying to get kids to do there best. Teachers put extra time and work in to advance this new school forward.If you want a small school with a sense of community this is the school for you.”
